Jeanette Taylor
Jeanette Taylor has a passion for stories, their structure and impact. She has five books in print, four of them with Harbour Publishing. Her latest book, Sheltering in the Backrush, A History of Twin Islands, was a finalist in a UBC Library prize for scholarly writing. She’s currently writing historical fiction and a biography of an early Vancouver Island settler.
Taylor spearheads the Scribes Comprehensive Writing Service collective and mentors writers through workshops, one-on-one tutoring, and manuscript reviews. She has assisted with numerous self-published projects, including a recent book of poetry and the full-colour cookbook, A Taste of Life on Quadra Island.
Taylor writes from the office of her 1894 log home on Quadra Island, BC, overlooking gardens, orchards and the sea.
